Restrictions for Beach Events

Prohibited Items: Drones, structures, amplified instruments, and any equipment, including arches, tables, chairs, tents, event signage, and ocean recreation gear, are not allowed on or within the premises for events.

Decorations and Seating: Contact us for decorative items or if seating is needed for elderly guests.
Participant Limitations

Public beach weddings or ceremonies are capped at 25 participants, including vendors. Kikaua Beach Park has a maximum of 20 people.

The Big Island is ideal for private beach weddings or romantic celebrations in unique locations like vacation rentals with ocean views or private estates.
Beach Permit Update - May 2021
Certain beaches now fall under State Park Division management, requiring couples to apply for a permit at least 45 days prior:

For ceremonies at these locations, contact the district office as indicated on the Department of Land and Natural Resources> Division of State Parks website.
